You are responsible for material requirement tracking to the short, mid and long-term production schedules of the plants in alignment with Customer Service and Logistics. You determine future plant material needs bases on current sales plan, production capacity and inventory targets while identifying risks to production plans and gaps between required and available materials. In case of any discrepancy you lead efforts to resolve issues.
You maintains both internal and external vendor relationships focussed on optimizing the Supply Chain. You propose and drive improvements to the planning systems based on detailed and comprehensive analysis on cost and availability.
The challenge is to keep track of material plans including new product launches, graphic changes, formula chainges and specification changes versus managing demand changes or shortfall to minimize production interruptions and material obsolescence.
Next to that you support Procurement to ensure sufficient vendor capacity is contracted to meet the material needs.
